Origin

Wuyi Mountain is famous for its unique Danxia landform, with steep cliffs, deep valleys, loose and fertile soil, and slightly acidic soil, which provide unique conditions for the growth of tea trees. Wuyi Mountain has a mild climate, warm winters and cool summers, abundant rainfall, and clouds and fog all year round in the mountains, which is suitable for the growth of tea trees. Tea farmers cleverly use the terrain of rock hollows, stone crevices, and stone cracks, and carefully build stone banks to grow tea, thus forming a unique "potted" tea garden. In such an environment, Wuyi rock tea absorbs unique minerals, and finally presents an unforgettable tea soup taste, texture and soup flavor, with an indescribable "rock rhyme岩韵", known as the "rock bone flower fragrance岩骨花香".

Huiyuankeng is one of the core production areas of Wuyi Rock Tea's "SanKeng LiangJian" (Huiyuankeng, Niulankeng, Daoshuikeng, Liuxiangjian, and Wuyuanjian), and is the largest mountain field among them. Surrounded by mountain rocks, the soil is weathered gravel rock, rich in minerals such as iron, zinc, and potassium, with a pH value of 4.5-5.5, which is slightly acidic; the soil layer is deep and breathable, and the roots of tea trees can penetrate deep into the cracks of the rocks to absorb the unique mineral flavor; the sunshine time is short and the fog is diffuse, providing suitable growth conditions for tea trees. Huiyuankeng has a short summer, a long autumn, a warm and humid winter, an early warming in spring, and less frost. Therefore, the tea tree buds and leaves here can fully recover after the autumn and winter seasons. Among the "Sankeng" of Wuyi Rock Tea, Huiyuankeng has the most superior environment, with undulating mountains and rocks and clear streams in the pit.
