White tea is originated in Fuding, Fujian, China, also known as Fuding White Tea. The planting history that can be verified so far has more than 800 years. White tea was recorded in ‘Tea Classic(茶经)’ by Luyu(陆羽), the Sage of Tea, that there are white tea mountains in three hundred miles east of Yongjia county.--it is sea in three hundred miles east of Yongjia. It should be south of Yongjia, that is Fuding, origin of white tea.
Sunlight withering is an excellent and top-notch way to make white tea, especially Baihao Yinzhen. However, sunlight withering is not as simple as just putting the tea leaves in the sun to dry.
