Narcissus is a famous variety of Wuyi rock tea, known for its unique aroma and taste. Narcissus has a strong orchid and magnolia fragrance, a mellow and smooth taste, a quick aftertaste, and a distinct rock flavor. |
Origin
Narcissus is a tea tree variety, namely Huacha No. 9, which is also commonly known as Wuyi Narcissus and Fujian Narcissus. Narcissus in Wuyi Rock Tea is made from Huacha No. 9 and is made according to the production process of Wuyi Rock Tea. It is one of the leading varieties of Wuyi Rock Tea.
Wuyi Mountain is famous for its unique Danxia landform, with steep cliffs, deep valleys, loose and fertile soil, and slightly acidic soil, which provide unique conditions for the growth of tea trees. Wuyi Mountain has a mild climate, warm winters and cool summers, abundant rainfall, and clouds and fog all year round in the mountains, which is suitable for the growth of tea trees. Tea farmers cleverly use the terrain of rock hollows, stone crevices, and stone cracks, and carefully build stone banks to grow tea, thus forming a unique "potted" tea garden. In such an environment, Wuyi rock tea absorbs unique minerals, and finally presents an unforgettable tea soup taste, texture and soup flavor, with an indescribable "rock rhyme岩韵", known as the "rock bone flower fragrance岩骨花香".
Appearance&Taste
Wuyi Narcissus has thick, tight and curly leaves, with a green-brown, oily and precious color, twisted leaf ends; some leaves have sand on the back, and the main veins at the base of the leaves are wide and flat. Wuyi Mountain Tea Area is known for the saying "Nothing is more mellow than Narcissus, and nothing is more fragrant than cinnamon".
The main characteristics of Narcissus tea are mellow tea soup, obvious throat rhyme, refreshing aftertaste, rich soup color with deep orange-yellow color, rich aroma, unique "orchid fragrance", and resistant to brewing. After brewing, the tea leaves are soft, bright and thick, the leaves have red edges, and the main veins of the leaves are wide, yellow and flat, which is very beautiful.
